Elle Pot Plugs are a soilless potting mix inside of a paper tube nugget.  Plant material that is propagated by cuttings are grown in these. The paper is biodegradeable and should not be removed before planting.  Think "a six-pack without the plastic".  The benefit of "plugs" is that they can be purchased individually mix and match.  Also, they are a great size to plant your own mixed containers, hanging baskets, window boxes, etc..  Plan 1 "plug" per 2" of your container - 10" hanging basket May = 5 plugs.  The later they are purchased, the more you will need to fill the container quicker.  10" hanging basket July 4 = 8-9 plugs.  Experiment and have fun!!
